UT is upgraded by the integration of the strengths of Uber’s global service and Tmap- based real-time optimal route and estimated fare.
Created by combining the initial letter U from Uber and T from Tmap, the name of UT stands for “우리들의 택시 - Our Taxi”, and aims to provide a taxi service for everyone. UT operated under the new name of Tmap Taxi, however, in November 2021, the new UT was launched to provide better trip experiences by integrating the strengths of Uber and Tmap.
If you already have your own Uber account and Uber app, there is no need to sign-up or re-download the new UT app, you can use your Uber account in the current integrated app.
