What is authorization hold?

This is a temporary authorization process to check whether the card is valid when calling a taxi and whether there is sufficient balance to pay the fare. This procedure is carried out when making an app payment call, and preliminary approval is omitted when making an on-site payment call.

In most cases, a pre-approval of 1,000 KRW is given when calling, but in the case of long-distance calls, the estimated fee may be pre-approved.

Generally, the pre-authorized amount is canceled and refunded within the same day, but depending on the bank and card company, it may take up to a week based on business days. We recommend that you contact your bank or card company directly to receive accurate information regarding the status of your refund.
